WikiLeaks, My Old Newcastle, Stage Design and The Dark Ages (Nov. 27-Dec. 01)

Journalism 120
On Monday, the students will view a WikiLeaks documentary and will complete a written response that they will submit either at the end of class on Monday or on Tuesday. Students will have the rest of the week to work, or continue working, on their job assignments that they should finish up by Friday. Student blogs and some of the course assignments can be viewed here and many of their job assignments are posted on The Blackville Talon.  

English 123
This week the students will continue looking at some of the works of David Adams Richards. The students will read the memoir "My Old Newcastle" and complete some reflection activities, including connecting the memoir to the film Small Gifts. The students will then complete a response assignment that involves studying the imagery in "My Old Newcastle".

BBT 10
This week most of the students will be finishing up their assignments for the third unit, Business and Enterprise Unit (Concert Planning). A lot of the students are now working on the stage design or website design. Student blogs and most of the assignments can be viewed here.

History 10
The students will finish viewing the documentary, The True Story of Troy, followed by an additional class discussion. The students will then study the Greek Dark Ages and then the rise of city-states and colonization. If time permits, the class will start their study of the Greco-Persian Wars.
