Film Conventions, Design Principles, Mesopotamia and Digital Law (Feb.26-March 02)

Media Studies 120
The students will first complete their study and discussion on Marshall McLuhan and the idea that "the medium is the message." The students will then spend some time exploring codes and conventions in film in preparation to produce their own videos. Digital Production 120
The class will continue working on the Digital Imaging Unit this week. Students will complete the assignment exploring camera composition techniques and also review some information on design principles before they start the next assignment for this unit. History 10
The students will have one more day to complete their poster projects on The Stone Age. On Tuesday the students will view the documentary Before the Dinosaurs: Walking with Monsters and also watch a short video on the mammal family tree. The students will then start their study on Ancient Mesopotamia on Wednesday.

BBT 10
This week the students will continue working on the Digital Citizenship Unit. The students will complete blog assignments and journal entries on the topics of Digital Access, Digital Law and Digital Literacy. Links to the student blogs and the assignments can be viewed here.
