Canadians, Websites, Car Designs and King Tut, (April 04-07)

Media Studies 120
This week the students will start the unit on Canadian content. The students will begin with a discussion on how Canadians are perceived by other countries, particularly our neighbour, the United States. The students will view and listen to Canadian content and read articles about past, current and popular Canadian content. They will have class discussions this week in response to what they view and read. Links to the student blogs and some of the assignments can be viewed at the course blog.

Digital Production 120
The students will continue work on the Web Design Unit this week. After students finish looking at web design elements and principles, they will start planning and designing their own website. The student blogs and the assignments can be viewed at the course blog.

BBT 10
Students should be half finished or close to finishing their second unit. Most students have selected the Coding Unit for their second unit. Some students have started their third unit and are working either on Business and Communication or Automotive Technology. Links to the student blogs and some of the assignments can be viewed here.

History 10
The students will start their study of Ancient Egypt this week. The students will look at the Old and Middle Kingdom periods and then the new New Kingdom period. They will look at key historical figures of the New Kingdom, particularly Kamose and Ahmose, Hatshepsut, Thutmose III, Amenhotep III, Akhenaten, Nefertiti and Tutankhamen by viewing and creating notes from PBS's documentary The Golden Empire.
